I’ve always focused on channeling my energy, talents and creativity into meaningful and powerful results at an organisational and individual level. I admit I am unashamedly obsessed with travel and all things art and design.
My career and experience has taught me valuable learnings that shaped my path; my exploration took me into broader forms of design; customer experience design, human centred design, life centred design and service design. I recognised I was passionately obsessed with people; designing, researching, empowering and leading people.

Fashion creates a desire for and appetite for innovation + change.
Fashion designers thrive on change; it's forever in our DNA.
These anatomical attributes are transferrable. I have demonstrated this through leadership roles in innovation and design, whilst acting as a catalyst for change.
FASHION INDUSTRY ROLES
A career as a designer can be built in many different ways; my journey is started in fashion design.
Transferable skills gained as a fashion designer enable me to generate ideas quickly and draw connections with facts, people, problems and solutions. I naturally observe emerging trends, with an awareness of human drivers, infleunce and branding.
Denim Construction, NZ
Designed and coordinated womenswear collection using design thinking capability for a variety of clients within NZ and AUS boutique, chain and departments stores eg Glassons.
Manage design team and sample room staff to ensure new collection sampling met deadlines and fiscal requirements
Facilitate production and accurate fit of sample range with consideration to business needs, mass production requirements, customer target market scope and quality control approvals.

Developed and sold commercial design concepts using design thinking capability to numerous clients within AUS chain and department stores e.g., Jacqui E, David Jones, Myers, Rockmans, Katies, Big W.
Accurately costed garments to maintain a positive profit margin.
Bespoke women's made to measure special occasion wear, specialising in bridal & evening wear.

Taking my design capabilities to create products and services, and applying them in new contexts by creating small businesses, I gained deep first hand experience of commercial reality. I enjoy leveraging the energy of my startup ecosystem experience to help other businesses design better services, products and experiences.

Jewellery Design and Ecommerce
Women's jewellery & accessories designed and manufactured under the house brand. The business expanded to multi-branded product offerings sold through private designer showings, events and a full ecommerce solution, employing 5 staff.
Women's Fashion Label
Trading under the Lisa Chesterfield Brand this women's fashion label specialised in exclusive made to measure couture, including veils, headwear and accessories, made lovingly by 7 employees at the design studio.
Serving the gas, oil and pipeline industry our company project managed on major infrastructure projects. Engaged to manage land acquisition, stakeholder relations, project procurement, right-of-way management and reinstatement crews. Key projects: Tasmanian Natural Gas Pipeline, Eastern Gas Pipeline, Hay Point Coal Terminal Upgrade, McArthur River Gas Pipeline.

SENIOR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE MANAGEMENT

Consulted for Digital Transformation Project to implement integrated MarTech program of work to automate and uplift organisational capability for MDKL International's largest brand The Coffee Club. Performed business current state research, analysis, site evaluations and process audits in relation to customer experience, employee and franchisee experience, delivering insights and informing MarTech, data readiness and user requirements.
MANAGER OF HUMAN CENTRED DESIGN

Established a Human Centred Design [HCD] Centre of Excellence for Suncorp Group Limited, a top 20 ASX-listed company and leading financial services provider to 9.5 million customers, with $9.5 billion in group assets,13, 500 employees and 3.6M active digital users. Headed end to end research, design and implementation of strategic customer experience outcomes and HCD practice across Suncorp Group by managing a dynamic portfolio of customer-based design projects across brands, channels, digital assets and products. Created a centralised repository for resources and artefacts and fostered organisational capability through experiential learning opportunities.
MANAGER CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE DESIGN
June 2016 - Sept 2018
Implemented the effective operationalisation of HCD practice and methodology, managing customer experience design practice across Suncorp Group. Directed customer experience and innovation projects; collaborated with cross discipline teams to create customer centric designs incorporating systems thinking, customer experience, service design, operating model and commercial analysis to identify new desired experiences, explore new revenue streams, identify business improvement opportunities.
